The Ministry of Labour, Industrial Relations and Employment Creation has appointed Kylliki Sihlahla as deputy labour commissioner, effective 01 January 2022.
The ministry in a media statement on Wednesday said Sihlahla’s appointment was done in terms of Section 120 of the Labour Act, 2007 (Act No. 11 of 2007) and within the provisions of the Public Service Staff Rules.
Sihlahla was appointed as acting deputy labour commissioner on 01 May 2021 until her substantive recent appointment.
The statement said Sihlahla served as the deputy director for conciliation and arbitration at the Labour Commissioner for seven years before her appointment, adding that she will oversee the function of alternate dispute resolutions through conciliation and arbitration.
