Ministry to optimize communication services during Ramadhan

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Communication and Informatics Ministry conducts a drive test, or network test, to optimize public communication services throughout Ramadhan 1444 H.Head of the Telecommunication Monitoring Center Team at the Ministry Indra Apriadi stated that the drive test is held for two to three weeks at crowded spots. “We will see the result, and we will deliver it to telecommunication service operators, so that optimization can be conducted if there is a bad signal or even a blank spot,” he remarked here, Friday. Moreover, the manually conducted drive test is supported by the advancement of signal monitoring technology currently owned by the ministry, Apriadi said. This technology is able to record report data of signal location spots that are monitored to be poor. If a communication service with speed below 1 Mbps is found, then notification will automatically be delivered to telecommunication service operators to fix the service quality. “We monitor this for 24 hours, including during Eid al-Fitr,” he remarked. baca-jugaRelated news: Ministry ready to anticipate cybercrime risks during Ramadan priadi said that similar action will also be taken during the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, so that social gathering with families will proceed without any hindrance.
