Ministry trains tourism business players on jakarta’s Tidung Island

Jakarta The Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Ministry organized a three-day e-commerce training for micro-enterprises on Tidung Island in Thousand Islands District, Jakarta Province, to push digitization and upskill tourism sector players, especially in online marketing.

“Micro businesses must rise up. Do not let them be be thrown out of business,” Deputy for Micro Business at the ministry Eddy Satrya said in a press statement received here on Saturday.

The COVID-19 pandemic led to a decline in business activity, he observed. The same thing happened to Tidung Island business players, who rely on the tourism sector, he said.

The Cooperatives and SMEs Ministry is committed to helping Tidung Island micro-enterprises with training so that they can continue to be productive and creative in the midst of difficulties, Satrya said.

“Whatever the conditions, on a small island or a large island, we must always survive. What can be done, both handicraft products, culinary products to meet the needs of the community,” he remarked.
