IMSIL, South Korea, Nov. 20, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Shiba Inu is a token designed to be compatible with Ethereum, an alternative to Dogecoin. This cryptocurrency has gained popularity this year after it rose by over thousands of percent since it got a foothold in late January 2021. Market speculations on this cryptocurrency have shown fortune, and its use is anticipated to go up soon. GiftChill is looking forward to add Shiba Inu as payment method to give investors a better payment alternative for eGift Cards.

Why use the Shiba Inu Payment Method on GiftChill platform?

The Ethereum blockchain paved the way for various tokens, with each providing its own specific utility. Shiba Inu is one of the most notable currencies used on the Ethereum network. It built on the firm foundation of canine-inspired meme coins like Dogecoin to become a coveted asset.

Since the introduction of Dogecoin payment, GiftChill has noted a significant increase in sales due to the flexibility of the method. Because investors interested in using a more flexible and cheaper payment method, GiftChill are planning to tap into a better opportunity (SHIB). The compatibility of this method with Ethereum will allow their customers to use apps like ShibaSwap to stake tokens and trade without an intermediary.

Benefits of using the Shiba Inu payment method in GiftChill

Transaction fee

The key advantage of GiftChill looking forward to add Shiba Inu as payment method is to lower the transaction costs of their clients. Since SHIB is compatible with Ethereum, the payments are made on Ethereum, which minimizes the transaction expenses significantly. The anticipated shift to Ethereum 2.0 in the near future will further bring the transaction costs on the network down, motivating more people to buy and use Shiba Inu coins as their payment methods for eGifts.

Borderless Transactions.

Integration of the Shiba Inu transaction method will facilitate international transfers. Most companies are currently using banks to pay overseas contractors and suppliers. However, this payment method wastes a lot of time and involves unnecessary paperwork. This Shiba Inu payment will complete transactions within minutes from all parts of the world as long as the internet is accessible. GiftChill takes this transaction method as a golden opportunity that they would not dare deny to Shiba Inu investors and holders to ensure they get discounted gifts from GiftChill.

Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo in her remarks during 2021 Embracing Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week event, called on Muslim fashion entrepreneurs to adapt to the digitalization process in marketing and selling their products.

Digitalization is crucial owing to COVID-19 pandemic which has driven domestic and global consumers to use digital technology.

“So we need to utilize technology to increase product added value and business efficiency. Hence, we can provide the best works and solutions for the community,” she said in a statement here on Sunday.

During 2020, digital trade transactions in Indonesia reached a total value of more than Rp253 trillion (almost US$18 billion) and is expected to increase to Rp330.7 trillion (US$23 billion) in 2021.

Indonesia is a potential market for the Muslim fashion industry, considering that this country has the largest Muslim population in the world. The country has some 231 million Muslims, which makes up of 13 percent of the world’s Muslim population.

Additionally, the number of millennials and generation Z in Indonesia also dominates the population, as it sits at 53 percent. Coupled with large and young Muslim population, there is huge opportunity for the growth of the Muslim creative industry, especially the fashion industry.

With the support of Indonesia’s cultural diversity, an extensive creativity in human resources, and the ability to adapt to sustainable values, Indonesia is considered to be a trendsetter in the global fashion industry.

According to data from the 2018 State of Global Islamic Economy Report, Indonesia ranked third in the growth of the Muslim fashion industry in the world, after the United Arab Emirates and Turkey, with transactions reaching US$21 billion.

She lauded the Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week, as it is considered as a momentum to advance the local fashion industry, especially in the Muslim fashion sector.

“This is a real measure to realize Indonesia as a center for world halal products, as well as encourage national economic growth through the development of the Muslim fashion industry and halal cosmetics in local and global markets,” she said.

Village Head competes against own wife in re-election bid

An election for village head in Wonosari Village, Sepaku Sub-district, North Penajam Paser District, East Kalimantan Province, has pitched the incumbent village head seeking re-election against his own wife.

“I and my wife are ready to lose, hence we have decided to not campaign for our candidacy and only encourage voters to cast their vote in the village election on December 15,” Wonosari Village Head and incumbent in the local election Kasiyono said.

Kasiyono and his wife Emilia Kartika decided to file their candidacies on separate tickets for the village head position in Wonosari, during simultaneous village head elections to be held in 14 villages in North Penajam Paser District.

Kasiyono also pledged to continue the development and optimise the management of Tapak Raja Cave as an eco-tourism destination in the village if voters granted him the second mandate over the village.

He recalled that in the last village head election, he won the election with over 80 per cent votes while his two rivals achieved only a combined 20 per cent of the votes.

“Six years ago, around 700 villagers were registered in the electoral roll, and out of around 600 registered voters who cast their vote, I received the mandate from 80 per cent of the voters,” Kasiyono said.

With the present electoral roll registered around 900 voters for the current election, he admitted to not setting a voting percentage target as he is competing against his own wife in the election.

Meanwhile, Kartika, who challenged her own husband for the village head position, declared that she is ready to lose the election and optimistic that her husband would win the election.

Kartika revealed that she in fact urged residents to vote for her husband instead.

“I decided to file my candidacy on the eleventh-hour of the village head candidate registration because, until nearly the deadline, my husband was the only candidate available. The election would have been delayed if only one candidate was standing,” Kartika stated.

The deadline for village head registration was September 21, and the registration would have been extended for 20 days if only one candidate registered as the deadline passed, she added.

CISSReC warns of potential personal data abuse by terrorists

Chairman of the Communication and Information System Security Research Center (CISSReC)Pratama Persadha has warned that leaked personal data could be abused by terrorists seeking to expand the group membership data and urged the authority to be attentive to data protection issue.

“During a discussion with my colleagues in the House of Representatives (DPR RI), we agreed that there is an upward trend of leaked ID card and family registration data abused by terrorists to increase the membership count of their group,” CISSReC chairman Pratama Persadha stated on a seminar about the urgency of the data protection bill observed from Jakarta on Sunday.

Persadha reported that data leak cases often occurred after the victim accessed a link to a website that data theft perpetrators used for data phishing to access their personal data and steal important information, such as personal ID numbers or account passwords.

He pointed out that terrorists have exploited the data theft method to pack their membership data with the personal ID of residents that have no relations with the terrorist group activity to deceit the Detachment 88 counter-terrorism special forces.

“The recent raid conducted by the Detachment 88 forces revealed that the terrorists have collected multitudes of ID cards on their membership data, but after further investigation, the special forces concluded that those ID cards belong to the people who have no relation with the terrorist group nor participating in terrorist activities,” Persadha stated.

The cyber security expert highlighted that Personal Data Protection Bill is urgent to be passed to ensure personal data safety and accountability on data leak cases, as well as to provide protection from potential data abuse by criminals, including terrorists.

“Imagine if the counter-terrorism forces suddenly raided our home because the terrorists have our ID card on their membership data,” he cautioned.
