ALICANTE, Spain, July 08, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Herbies Seeds today announced the launch of Cannabis Seeds online sales in Thailand. Find out why buying cannabis seeds in Thailand from Herbies is such a great idea and what makes shopping in our seed store such a satisfying experience.

Despite the recent legalization of growing marijuana in Thailand, buying weed seeds is still a sensitive subject for many Thai people who feel vulnerable when they’re getting ready to place their first order online. This post is intended to put you perfectly at ease and show how easy it is to purchase the coveted cannabis genetics from Herbies.

For decades, Herbies was in the business of turning the wary and the curious into long-time loyal customers who, season after season, buy first-rate genetic material to grow healthy, vigorous, high-yielding, and, above all, potent marijuana. Learn all about our choice of seeds, pricing policy, payment and delivery, customer support, and why they make Herbies the best source of cannabis seeds in Thailand.

Thousands of Seeds from the World’s Best Breeders

Now is the most exciting time to grow cannabis because Thailand has just legalized weed cultivation. Even though there are no seed banks in Thailand, with a plethora of strains available at Herbies, you get access to genetics from every corner of the world and from every decade of the last half-century. All you need to do is find the right kind of seed shop, and Herbies is the mega-supermarket for weed seeds in Thailand.

We’ve been selling weed seeds for about 20 years now and doing business with more than 120 seed breeders. For you, this means the chance to browse through 2,000+ marijuana varieties and find the perfect cultivar to suit your growing style and personality.

Basically, we have everything that’s out there – and if you can’t find a particular strain to grow your own cannabis in Thailand, contact us and we’ll find it for you in no time. Our secret? We operate from Spain, the mecca of legal cannabis seeds, and practically in the same zip code as the world’s largest wholesalers.

Needless to say, by working with the world’s top seed banks, we guarantee the top quality of the seeds for sale. Every plant you grow from our beans is the pinnacle of years of selective breeding, careful crossing, and painstaking stabilization.

Herbies’ In-House Breeding Project

Who’s a better judge of what growers and smokers need than those who have spent two decades catering to their every desire, listening to their feedback, and consulting them 24/7. This expertise shouldn’t go to waste, so in 2020, we decided to launch our own line of seeds, and we can vouch for the quality of every feminized and autoflowering variety we offer.

The flagship strain in our collection is, without a doubt, Grandmommy Purple. With up to 33% THC in especially well-groomed samples, this freak of nature is so ridiculously potent that it was featured in the High Times magazine. You’d think this record isn’t something that can be easily topped, but wait until you meet Apple Betty. Believe it or not, this newcomer to our collection likewise got her 15 minutes of fame at High Times, and with her 28-33% THC and a rare green apple taste, she deserves every minute of it and more.

We never rest on our laurels, tirelessly crossing and recrossing the market’s trendiest lineages to create new remarkable strains all the time. When we make a new offering, we make sure that it has what our customers value best: over-the-top potency, mouth-watering flavors, and scale-busting yields. And since many of you want autoflowers, we don’t forget about them either. Godzilla Cookies Auto, Gelato Auto, and many others proudly stand among our top sellers.

A Genuinely Client-Oriented Shop

Genetic diversity and quality are an excellent foundation for success, but modern online shoppers want so much more – 24/7 customer support, different payment options, reliable and fast delivery to Thailand – and we guarantee them all.

Yachting: Monaco Energy Boat Challenge Where Innovation Meets Transition

MONACO, July 08, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Under the aegis of the collective ‘Monaco, Capital of Advanced Yachting’ umbrella takes place the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. This event, which was launched in 2014, gathers the industry and young engineers in partnership with the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.

The goal is to develop alternative propulsion systems, using only clean energy sources to power the yachting of tomorrow. “It is very important for us – says the Yacht Club de Monaco General Secretary Bernard d’Alessandri – to have this type of meeting because we host young engineers from different countries in the world, like Peru, India, Dubai and it is an occasion to meet the new generation. It is key to share the knowledge and see the progress every year. It will be important in a few years to have new-generation yachts with less environmental impact”.

Nearly 40 teams (21 nationalities) are set to take part in an event which combines numerous on-water challenges (sea trials, speed records, endurance and manoeuvrability trials) to test and demonstrate new technology’s potential with technical discussions in open source (a conference, daily Tech Talks, a round table) to share knowledge on progress in propulsion. “At the beginning of the event – says the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge jury president, Jeremie Lagarrigue,- we only had solar boats but, as Monaco is the capital of the yachting, we wanted to showcase all the other kind of propulsion that we can have on a boat.

So we created two other categories: the first one was ‘Energy Class’ to promote any kind of energy like hydrogen and electric storage but we can also have new ideas like storing the energy of the air compressed and kinetic energy. We have also the class that represents the zero emission boat of the future that you can already afford which is the Open Sea Class”. An exhibitors’ village open to the public hosts startups and new projects in the innovation and new energy fields in yachting. In total a record 50+ eco-boats will be showing what they can do in the YCM Marina, powered by alternative energy sources.

Conagen commercializes scalable sweetness enhancers from nature

Teams up with pipeline partner Sweegen for bridging natural solutions with mainstream taste.

Bedford, Mass., July 08, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Conagen, the Massachusetts-based biotech firm, announced the commercialization of an expansive portfolio of natural sweetness enhancers for taste modification in sugar reduction solutions for food and beverages. The enhancers are made with precision fermentation, a technology that has led to the innovation of an extensive platform of phenolic antioxidants.

Sweetness enhancers in the market today are made by chemical synthesis or by using an organic solvent extraction method, both of which are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and environmentally unfriendly. Conagen’s precision fermentation method is a preferred, clean, and sustainable method for developing sweetness enhancement compounds.

“These unique molecules are yet another example of how Conagen leverages its molecular platforms and precision fermentation capabilities to create useful ingredients for food and beverage applications. Our ability to rapidly scale modern, clean and sustainable sweetness enhancers provides additional and better options for taste modulation and sugar reduction beyond those enabled by the non-caloric sweeteners already on the market,” said Casey Lippmeier, Ph.D., vice president of innovation at Conagen.

Conagen’s sweetness enhancers belong to a group of natural product molecules called phenolic compounds, found extensively in many plant species. Phenolic compounds are commonly found in vegetables and fruits and are a significant part of the human diet. They are biosynthesized by plants and lichens as secondary metabolites and comprise a diverse group of phytochemicals.

Increasing consumer awareness of chronic diseases such as obesity and diabetes sparks the market pull trend toward zero sugar and low-to-no calorie food and beverages and is expected to continue upward. The health trend drives the growth in new sweetness enhancer technologies for an ever-demanding sugar reduction solutions market. Consumers are seeking ways to improve their diets and are increasingly interested in natural and clean ingredients.

Conagen and its pipeline partner Sweegen, a global leader in wellness-based sugar reduction solutions, have previously teamed up to develop modern natural sweeteners that can replace up to 100% sugar in particular food and beverage applications and bitter blockers to mitigate up to 80-100% bitterness in consumer trending products, such as energy drinks, sauces, and confectionery products with low to no sugar.

“Together, with Conagen, we’re building a bridge of natural solutions with mainstream taste,” said Casey McCormick, head of global innovation at Sweegen. “These new molecules can modulate mouthfeel and boost the sensation of the sweetness of other sweeteners and flavors in food and beverages, leading to a significant reduction in sugar usage.”

McCormick further stated, “Conagen is an ideal innovation partner for Sweegen to continuously build our robust and powerful portfolio and pair it with our first-class sweetener systems. The more sweetness enhancers in our toolbox, the better our exploration and discovery of new ways for food and beverage brands to make healthier products that taste great and resonate with consumers.”

Sweegen has a long-standing partnership with biotechnology innovator Conagen. Conagen focuses on developing sustainable, nature-based ingredients that improve existing options in the market or represent completely novel ingredient solutions.

Russia lauds Indonesia’s role at international forums

Speaking on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (FMM) here on Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov lauded Indonesia’s role at various international forums.

“I see Indonesia’s position as a responsible country, which understands the importance of establishing a dialogue based on international law and the principle of equal state sovereignty,” he said.

The position taken by Indonesia is very appropriate in its capacities as a member of the United Nations (UN), G20 President, and upcoming chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2023, he added.

The foreign ministers of the Group of 20 (G20) countries attended the FMM in Bali amid tensions between the West and Russia over Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was in attendance despite objections from Western and Japanese leaders.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, and US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken were among those present at the meeting held on July 7 and 8, 2022.

Blinken, who refused to have a dialogue with Russia, invited the G20 countries to put pressure on Moscow to end its invasion of Ukraine.

However, Russia did not appear to be swayed by the attitude of the US and its allies.

“It is not us who are ignoring dialogue but the United States. If they don’t want to talk, that’s their choice,” Lavrov said.

Indonesia is holding the G20 Presidency, themed “Recover Together, Recover Stronger,” this year.

The G20 members comprise Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, India, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union. Spain is a permanent guest.

Land development in new capital to complete next August: Hadimuljono

Land development work for the Presidential Palace, ministerial offices, and other government buildings in the new capital Nusantara would be completed next August, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono stated.

The minister noted that as the contract for land development will be signed on July 15, the result of land development is expected to be available next August.

“The land development will result in land plots (planning); which land plot (will be designated) for which ministry, the presidential palace, and the vice presidential palace,” Hadimuljono stated after attending the “National Stakeholders Forum: 10th World Water Forum First Announcement” conference here Friday.

The minister noted that the plotting of land in the new capital, completed during the land development stage, would ensure prompt execution when President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) instructs the construction to commence.

Earlier, President Jokowi declared that the construction of Sepaku Semoi Dam and Mentawir Nursery in North Penajam Paser District, East Kalimantan, had marked the commencement of the new capital’s basic infrastructure development.

“The (construction of the) dam means that the development of basic infrastructure (for the new capital Nusantara) has been started. Next July, the construction of the main road from the Balikpapan toll road will also commence,” the president stated during a visit to Sepaku Semoi Dam, according to a statement issued by the Presidential Secretariat, Wednesday (June 22).

The government is planning to proceed with the construction of the new capital in three stages. The first stage that will proceed until 2024 will include the construction of core infrastructures, such as the presidential palace, the parliament complex, government buildings, police and military headquarters, and a housing complex.

Meanwhile, the second stage of the new capital development will take place during the 2025-2035 period and the last stage in the 2035-2045 period.

The total budget required for developing the new capital has been pegged at Rp466 trillion (US$31.2 billion), of which 19-20 percent will be sourced from the state budget, while the remaining funding will be obtained through investments and partnerships with the private sector.

Around 90% of Bali tourists interested in ecotourism: minister

Around 90 percent of tourists coming to Bali are interested in ecotourism or environmentally friendly tourism, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said at West Bali National Park here on Thursday.

“Around 90 percent of them are interested in knowing more about ecotourism and 86 percent of them are willing to carry out activities to balance out their carbon footprint,” he said.

Taking note of data obtained by the ministry from Booking.com’s research, Uno observed that ecotourism is a large market. Therefore, the ministry will prepare ecotourism packages and digital platform support to attract tourists.

The result of the research, which involved 29 thousand respondents from 30 countries, drove the cooperation between the ministry and carbon footprint calculator platform Jejak.in.

During his visit on Thursday, Uno also unveiled the ‘Towards Climate Positive Tourism Through Decarbonization and Ecotourism’ program.

“This aims to raise personal awareness, namely if we move, there will be an impact on the environment. To this end, we need to do something more than discourse, namely collaboration and action,” he remarked.

Uno also inaugurated five destinations that will be covered by the program. The ecotourism destinations comprise Plataran Menjangan in West Bali National Park; Tembudan Berseri Berau Mangrove in East Kalimantan; Clungup Mangrove Conservation in Malang, East Java; Peramun Hill in Bangka Belitung; and Klawalu Mangrove Tourist Park in Sorong, West Papua.

The recent trend among tourists is to not just look around, but also seek experiences and build memories, the minister noted. He then dubbed it quality and sustainable tourism.

In the future, other destinations will tread the same path, he added.

This is a form of the government’s commitment that has made Indonesia the first country in ASEAN to have a net-zero commitment in tourism.

Teachers as driving forces in transforming students’ learning process

School students have characteristics that differ from one another, such as their learning styles and self-development requirements, with some being either passive or active while some taking the initiative and others needing encouragement.

Each student also has unique potential and abilities, so teachers need to be thoughtful in identifying and understanding their development, learning needs, readiness, interests, and potential.

In the efforts to understand their students, teachers are challenged to provide a variety of teaching materials and processes to make passive students more active and creative.

The goal is that learning in school situations should be fun, and if so, students would yearn to return to school.

The teaching and learning processes should not be simply copying material written on the board, one-way communication, dictating for students, or delivering theories, but it should be more creative, bringing life into the experience by trying lots of fun practices.

The teaching process must build the students’ enthusiasm in developing critical and innovative thinking as well as be oriented towards them and their self-development.

In supporting teachers to hone their skills and increase their capacities, the Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry has implemented the Teacher as Driving Forces Program to accommodate teachers in applying holistic education.

One of the teachers at the Diaspora Christian Education Foundation (YPK) High School in Kotaraja, Jayapura, Papua Province, Trias Agata Roni, realized that one of the obstacles in the English class she taught was that it felt boring, lacked life, or was monotonous.

Before being part of the Teachers as Driving Forces Program, Roni saw herself as a fierce teacher. While teaching, she felt that students were disinterested or not enthusiastic about the lesson, and instead, tended to be passive.

Roni, who teaches in grades 11 and 12, also admitted that the class was not lively, with the students finding it boring to actively ask questions or share their thoughts, and tended to be lazy to learn.

During a process of self-reflection, Roni got up and began to think about the changes that must be made to improve the teaching and learning experience.

Having participated in the Teachers as Driving Forces Program for nine months, she had learned a lot from independent projects, training, and fellow participating teachers.

Roni spoke of having attended training, workshops, conferences, and mentoring. In addition to developing self-competence, she acquired an independent learning experience and a guided, structured, and fun group.

Teachers as Driving Forces Program aims to create educational leaders, who encourage students’ growth and development that is holistic, active, and proactive.

It also builds educators to implement student-centric learning as well as to be the agents of transforming the educational ecosystem to realize the profile of students with Pancasila traits.

“Hopefully, after becoming a teacher (of this program), I can get tips, ways to make learning in the classroom interesting,” Roni, who graduated from Cenderawasih University of Jayapura, said while meeting journalists and the ministry’s team recently.

While participating in the program, she received adequate training that could bolster her teaching skills wherein she has a community to exchange information about ways of teaching that build the students’ enthusiasm.

Ronim, who has taught at the school since 2015, strives to be a teacher, who can provide flexibility for students to develop their potential through interesting activities.

The lecturing method is not effective in garnering the students’ interest, she claimed. She pointed out that the challenge is how to get their attention to engage in the learning process before giving the subject matter.

In practice, she would first make an attempt to know the students’ feelings and not immediately start teaching the subject.

“How are you feeling?” is one of the questions that Roni feels should be posed to start a class that will catch the students’ attention.

She also regularly prepares games before the class starts, wherein students are invited to speak in English in a playful manner that is simple but fun.

Without realizing it, students have actually engaged in the learning process while playing.

In addition to seeking information through the internet and working independently, good teaching practices and game ideas can be obtained from the community of teachers that participated in the Teachers as Driving Forces Program.

“I have sought inputs from the community about what if the students get bored and about (ideas for) breaking the ice. We give each other suggestions if we cannot get new and interesting things,” she explained.

Roni also conducts differentiated instruction or learning that gives students the flexibility to enhance their potential based on their readiness, interests, and character.

She explained that differentiated learning not only focuses on projects but also pays attention to the processes and contents.

Roni cited as an example that the students’ final projects need not be the same but could vary from one another.

Students, with a penchant for singing, can make a final project by writing English song lyrics and singing them in front of their classmates.

Other students can do their final project in the form of writing, dancing, handicrafts, or videos, and can even use social media platforms.

By paying attention to the learning style and character of each student, Roni admitted that they are more confident about conversing in English despite still making some mistakes.
