According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired the second meeting of the Economic Policy Committee at Government House. The Prime Minister thanked everyone for attending the meeting, which was the second meeting of the Economic Policy Committee, following the previous one. Tomorrow (October 21), the committee will present tourism measures to the Cabinet.
Today's meeting is in line with the Ministry of Energy's Quick Big Win policy to reduce the cost of living for citizens. The hope is that today's Ministry of Energy policy will help find ways to reduce the cost of living for citizens and generate income for communities.
The Prime Minister also stated that today's meeting was to prepare energy resources for targeted industries seeking investment in Thailand, in line with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanpraphas' discussions with the Board of Investment (BOI), which urged supported foreign companies to establish factories in Thailand. A key factor is ensuring sufficient electricity. He therefore invited the Governors of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, the Provincial Electricity Authority, and the Metropolitan Electricity Authority to attend the meeting to discuss policies and support them in implementing them in relevant agencies.
