Sa kaeo: "Weera" mobilizes machinery to dismantle 64 rai of land in Ban Nong Chan, Sa Kaeo Province, as Lt. Col. Natthaphon joins efforts to reclaim Thai sovereignty from Cambodian settlers.

According to Thai News Agency, the area of Ban Nong Chan in Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province, witnessed a significant gathering of citizens and former soldiers aiming to reclaim Thai sovereignty. Mr. Wira Somkwamkit, president of the Anti-Corruption People's Network, led the initiative with heavy machinery, including a backhoe and four tractors, to demolish structures on the 64-rai site of the former refugee camp, with the objective of evicting Cambodians residing there.

The machinery is set to be moved into the area at 1:00 PM. In anticipation of potential unrest, the Sa Kaeo Provincial Police have deployed a riot control unit to ensure the situation remains orderly and peaceful.

Major Nattaphon Sapphong, president of the Uthai Thani Provincial Veterans Association and a former soldier, expressed his desire to participate in the sovereignty reclamation efforts. He questioned the prolonged inaction from officials regarding this issue and emphasized that the eviction of Cambodians would be conducted without violence.

Major Nattaphon further urged Thai citizens to unite in preserving their land for future generations and reminded Cambodia of Thailand's past kindness, clarifying that the goal is to reclaim rightful ownership rather than take anything from others.

Mr. Wira Somkhamkit reiterated his readiness to face arrest if necessary, but insisted that authorities prioritize the expulsion of Cambodians from the area first.
