Chulaphan Amornvivat Elected as New Leader of Pheu Thai Party

Bangkok: Chulaphan Amornvivat has been elected as the new leader of the Pheu Thai Party, receiving a substantial majority of the votes during the 1/2025 Extraordinary General Meeting. The meeting, held to elect a new executive committee and select the Pheu Thai Party MP candidate selection committee, saw Chulaphan secure 354 votes out of 369 eligible voters.

According to Thai News Agency, the meeting witnessed 15 members abstaining from the voting process. Chulaphan, who serves as a Member of Parliament for Chiang Mai, now takes on the leadership role within the Pheu Thai Party, succeeding in a critical internal election aimed at setting the future direction for the party.
