Warawut Emphasizes Thorough Cabinet Discussion on Integrated Entertainment Venue Act

Bangkok: "Warawut" insists that the Cabinet's discussion of the Integrated Entertainment Venue Act must be thorough.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, expressed that the Cabinet's review of the draft Integrated Entertainment Business Act B.E. ... should align with the Chartthaipattana Party's position and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security's concerns. These concerns primarily revolve around the potential impact on vulnerable groups, highlighting the risks of gambling addiction and exploitation of groups such as the elderly or disabled for income generation.

Mr. Varawut stressed the importance of considering the Council of State's observations during the Cabinet meeting. He remarked that while the Act has its supporters due to its advantages, there are significant disadvantages that cause disagreement. A balanced discussion is essential, taking into account both the favorable and unfavorable aspects.
