Village Defense Volunteers Deployed in Sa Kaeo Province for Border Protection

Sa kaeo: The Director-General of the Provincial Administration has mobilized Village Defense Volunteers and Village Defense Volunteers to safeguard the Khok Sung District in Sa Kaeo Province. This move comes as part of efforts to reinforce security in the region.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nirat Phongsitthaworn, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, has urged the administrative sector and members of the Volunteer Defense Corps (VDV) and the Village Security Guard (VSC) to collaborate with security forces. Their joint efforts include conducting field visits and closely monitoring the border area to ensure the safety of local residents.

Following the expiration date of October 10, 2025, an announcement by Sa Kaeo Province mandates that Cambodian citizens who have unlawfully entered Thai territory must vacate the area. The deployment of volunteers aims to uphold stability, safety, and peace in the region by protecting the country's rear areas from any potential threats.
