Pathum Thani: Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a shooting incident involving a group of teenagers, resulting in one fatality and five injuries. The attack, which included the use of a bomb and firearms, occurred in front of a convenience store at the entrance to Nong Suea, Bueng Sanan Rak Subdistrict, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province. The incident took place at approximately 3:30 a.m. on January 19, 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, the investigation team swiftly responded by examining CCTV footage and applying forensic science techniques to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. Five individuals were invited for questioning, but arrest warrants were sought for two suspects. Mr. Phumret, age 33, confessed to being the shooter, leading to the seizure of a locally-made firearm and one shotgun bullet. The second suspect, Mr. Uea, age 33, denied all charges and was handed over to investigators for further legal proceedings.
In a related development, Mr. Somyot, the father of Mr. Arm, a 16-year-old questioned by police, asserted that his son remained home on the day of the incident. Acknowledging the tensions between his son's group and another, Mr. Somyot expressed concern about potential charges against his son.
