Samut Prakan: Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, leader of the Progressive Movement, participated in the Samut Prakan Provincial Administrative Organization election count, expressing concerns over the low voter turnout. As the election count proceeded at the Bangkaew Municipality Sports Center, Thanathorn joined candidate Noppadol Samyanontanakul of the Prachachon Party, who is vying for the position of provincial administrative organization president.
According to Thai News Agency, Thanathorn noted that despite the candidate's lead in six polling units with a 70 to 30 ratio, there was still a need for caution in other districts. The overall voter turnout stood at only 50 percent, falling short of the Election Commission's target of 65 percent. Thanathorn acknowledged the challenge this posed, admitting that if the turnout remained in the upper 50 percent range, the Prachachon Party might be at a disadvantage despite the hopeful prospects in Samut Prakan Province.
