Bangkok: Thai Beverage Public Company Limited has extended its support to a special women's volleyball match to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. The event, which featured a game between the People's Republic of China and the Thai national team, was held at Indoor Stadium Huamark with several notable figures in attendance.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, CEO of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, was joined by Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Ms. Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, Mr. Yang Xiaolong, Cultural Counselor from the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, and other executives such as Ms. Tarnthip Sirinupong, Ms. Nantika Nilvoraskul, Ms. Pawinee Chaisit, and Mr. Patrick Horattanachai.
Mr. Thapan Sirivadhanabhakdi expressed his enthusiasm regarding the event, stating, "Thai Beverage Public Company Limited is extremely pleased to be a part of organizing this special women's volleyball match to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China." He highlighted the longstanding connections between the two nations, which span exchanges in economics, trade, arts, culture, and sports.
ThaiBev has been a supporter of volleyball for over three decades, with efforts focused on promoting Thai athletes on the international stage and fostering a foundation for "Sportsmanship." Following the special match, athletes from both countries are set to participate in the FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship, marking the first time the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) will host the competition in Thailand. The championship is scheduled from August 22 to September 7, and ThaiBev encourages supporters to cheer on the athletes from both countries.
