Ubon ratchathani: Sikhoraphum Phisai School emerged victorious in the 9th field championship of the "Singha Junior Cup," a 7-a-side youth football tournament for under 13 years of age, held at Thung Burapha Stadium in Ubon Ratchathani Province. They secured their win by defeating the Academy of Dream Children from Sisaket Province 13-12 on penalties after a goalless draw in regulation time.
According to Thai News Agency, the "Singha Junior Cup" is in its 26th edition, with "Singha" collaborating with eight leading universities across the nation to organize the competition. The victory allows Sikhoraphum Phisai School from Surin Province to progress to the final round of the Thailand Championship, where they will join other field champions such as Debsirin Chiang Mai, Phichitbandit, Wachiralai, Nachan Suksa, Nonprasit Wittaya, Chainat Provincial Administrative Organization School, Bangkok Christian A, and Kanchanaphisek Wittayalai Krabi School.
The event also featured a football skills competition, where standout performers included free kick specialist Phuwadon Neeramon from the Nasuang Wittaya team, goalkeeper Thapanat Saengtawan from the New Gen Football Academy team, and midfielder Ratchanon Thumasingh from the 3U FC team.
The final qualifying round of the "Singha Junior Cup" is scheduled for August 30-31, 2025, at Sriracha Arena in Chonburi Province, in cooperation with Burapha University. This round will determine the winning teams from each field, with a total of 10 teams advancing to the final round on October 18, 2025, at the BGPU Training Center in Pathum Thani Province. The event will also include various activities and a football clinic project, offering children the chance to learn from professional footballers and gain valuable insights into the sport.
