Bangkok: Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsuthin has announced the division of responsibilities within the ministry, assigning specific portfolios to the newly appointed deputy ministers. Chaichana Dejdecho will handle drug-related issues, while Anucha Sasomsap will focus on economic development and health.
According to Thai News Agency, Somsak expressed confidence in the ability of Chaichana and Anucha to collaborate effectively despite being from different political parties. He noted that Chaichana had volunteered to take on drug-related issues, while Anucha was tasked with overseeing economic and health sectors. Somsak emphasized that his goal was to streamline responsibilities to avoid complications, thereby allowing the ministry to focus on creating a robust public health system that would lead to a reduction in illness.
Somsak further assured that inter-party collaboration would not pose any challenges, highlighting that all ministers are committed to working diligently. He expressed optimism about the upcoming results from this collaborative effort.
