Bangkok: Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has expressed a strong commitment to addressing the longstanding Khao Kradong-Alpine land dispute. Preparations are underway to organize the Interior Ministry's military appropriately for the task, with a focus on drug suppression as the primary priority. The recent cabinet change has affected progress on submarine issues, necessitating their return to the Ministry of Defense for consideration by the new minister.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham discussed potential transfers of civil servants previously aligned with Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Such transfers would be conducted in accordance with the duties and policies to be implemented, though specific details and timelines remain undetermined. Immediate priorities include addressing drug-related issues, while the Khao Kradong land matter will be revisited to clear public doubts and suspicions.
