Scholars Assess Government Age If Cabinet Reshuffle

Bangkok: After the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party clearly insisted that he would not let go of the Interior Minister’s position for the Pheu Thai Party to take care of and was ready to act as the opposition, academics assessed that the stability of the government if there is a cabinet reshuffle may cause the government’s term to be no more than this year.

According to Thai News Agency, the firm stance of the Bhumjaithai Party leader has raised concerns among scholars regarding the longevity of the current government. The reluctance to relinquish the Interior Minister’s position indicates potential friction within the coalition, which may lead to instability.

The possibility of a cabinet reshuffle could further exacerbate tensions, prompting academic predictions that the government’s term may not extend beyond the current year. The situation remains fluid, with the potential for shifts in political alliances and government structure.
