Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra has declared her willingness to engage with the opposition's motion of no confidence, which is anticipated to be submitted at the end of February. She has emphasized her intent to address matters directly, without turning the debate into a drawn-out affair.
According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister is unfazed by the opposition's focus on former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, regarding allegations of benefiting from government facilitation and influence. She remarked that such issues are expected, and it would indeed be unusual if they were absent from the debate.
When questioned about her personal approach to addressing the opposition's inquiries about Thaksin, Prime Minister Paethongtarn stated that she intends to schedule a session to prepare thoroughly. She aims to avoid redundant discussions that could tire the public and prefers to address the core concerns directly, aiming for clarity and resolution without unnecessary prolongation.
