Bangkok: The Prime Minister ordered, reiterating the Cabinet meeting that the call center gang must be dealt with decisively. He announced that today, he will sign an urgent transfer order for high-ranking Thai officials involved in the call center.
According to Thai News Agency, Jirayu Huangsap, spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that in the cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister has requested to instruct relevant agencies, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, and security agencies to expedite the suppression of transnational online crimes by coordinating with the Chinese authorities, especially in the suppression of call center gangs that ordered operations before traveling to China.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, said in the cabinet meeting that before 12:00 noon, an order will be issued to transfer high-ranking Thai officials who are involved or related to the call center process.
As for the cutting of signals in various telecommunications systems by the Acting Secretary-General of the NBTC, the results are still not satisfactory, especially in Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province, opposite Poipet, the NBTC has not responded much. On the humanitarian front, the Thai government has opened up access to patients from Myanmar to receive treatment in Thai hospitals and has also allowed cars from neighboring countries to come in and refuel. While Mr. Prasert Jantarawongthong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society (DE), said in the meeting that he is currently preparing to summarize the measures that the Thai government has implemented within 15 days and the second time within 30 days by coordinating with the DSI, the Central Investigation Bureau, and the NBTC to summarize the results of the operation and determine further measures. He also ordered the NBTC to take action if it is found that the signal is connected to any building that appears to support the call center gangs to cut the signal immediately and will closely monitor other government agencies immediately.
