Riyadh: The Muslim World League has expressed strong condemnation and complete rejection of the E1 settlement plan and related settlement activities in occupied East Jerusalem. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the General Secretariat of the League issued a statement in which His Excellency the Secretary-General, Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, condemned the plan. He described it as a threat to the realization of an independent Palestinian state and criticized all illegal Israeli settlement policies in the occupied Palestinian territory. The statement highlighted the support and protection of violations and acts of violence committed by settlers against the Palestinian people and their property, within the context of ongoing Israeli actions that contravene international laws and resolutions, undermining peace efforts. His Eminence emphasized the urgent need for the international community to take legal and moral responsibility for the immediat e cessation of all acts of violence, violations, settlement policies, and other measures aimed at altering the geographic and demographic character of the occupied Palestinian territory. He expressed appreciation for the statement made by the foreign ministers of several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt, recognizing their firm solidarity with the Palestinian people. The statement reiterated support for the Palestinians' legitimate rights, particularly the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, in line with the two-state solution and relevant international resolutions as the path to achieving just and lasting peace in the region.
