Bangkok: "Teng" has expressed confusion over statements made by Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temiyaves, leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, regarding the submission of documents at the Police General Hospital. Sereepisuth suggested that the documents, presented during an opposition party meeting, were merely empty envelopes. "Teng" asserted that, as an adult, he would not engage in such actions, emphasizing his prior coordination to provide substantial information. He believes that if there is any evasion, society will discern how political figures conduct themselves.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut, MP and leader of the Prachachon Party, addressed this issue in his capacity as the leader of the opposition. He discussed the remarks made by Sereepisuth and clarified that the document submission was coordinated with Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, leader of the Thai Sang Thai Party. Both are senior political figures. Contrary to Sereepisuth's assertion, the envelope contained usable information, and there was an agreement to share additional information behind the scenes, involving both senior politicians.
When questioned about the possibility of the People's Party being used for ulterior motives, Mr. Nattapong highlighted that Sereepisuth's intent in document submission was not something he could infer. However, he acknowledged that Sereepisuth appeared open to receiving information to enhance the debate for public benefit.
Mr. Nattapong further remarked that the outcome depends on Sereepisuth's sincerity. If he fails to provide the promised information, citizens will witness the true conduct of political adults.
Regarding Sereepisuth's alignment with the opposition, Mr. Nattapong explained that anyone not part of the government is considered opposition. The opposition operates differently from government coalition parties. Whether Sereepisuth is genuinely monitoring the government or using document submissions for other purposes remains to be seen.
