Pichai Awaits Discussion with Maris on US Trade Negotiation Progress


Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavijorn has announced his intention to speak with Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampong regarding the progress of ongoing tariff negotiations between Thailand and the United States. This follows a recent meeting between Maris and the US Trade Representative in France, where they explored the potential for negotiations and discussed the possibility of conducting future talks online.



According to Thai News Agency, the US government has requested Thailand to submit its best offer for the trade negotiations by June 4. Pichai stressed the importance of consulting with Maris before moving forward and was seen heading into the command building immediately following their discussion.
