Bangkok: Permanent Secretary of Defense welcomes new German military attach©, continuing 160 years of strong friendship and lasting cooperation.

According to Thai News Agency, on August 26, 2015, General Snitchanok Sangchan, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, welcomed Lieutenant Colonel Philipp Doert, Assistant Military Attache of the Federal Republic of Germany to Thailand, during his farewell visit after completing his term. He introduced Lieutenant Commander Michael Radtke, who would assume the new position, at the Phra Barami Pok Klao Room in the Ministry of Defense.

This visit serves as a gesture of gratitude to Lt. Col. Philipp Doert for his service as the main liaison between the defense ministries of Thailand and Germany. It also marks an important opportunity to continue the good relations that have existed for more than 160 years between the two nations.

The strong relations between Thailand and Germany have fostered cooperation across various sectors, including politics, economics, society, and military. This collaboration encompasses high-level exchanges, bilateral meetings, joint exercises, intelligence exchanges, and defense industries. The reception of the new Defence Attache reaffirms the commitment to further developing military cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries.
