Bhumtham Summons Top Officials for Strategic Meeting at Government House

Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, acting as Prime Minister, has called for a significant meeting at Government House, summoning key figures including Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice, and various director-generals from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and other departments. This meeting aims to drive forward critical work and address any outstanding issues.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham stated before the meeting that its primary focus was to ensure progress on ongoing projects and to address any pending matters. He emphasized that there was nothing urgent on the agenda but highlighted the importance of maintaining momentum in their work. Mr. Phumtham remarked, "Our goal is to do everything possible to move the work forward and avoid any interruptions. Currently, we're working on multiple areas, and we're striving to ensure the best solutions are possible."

In response to inquiries about future projects, Mr. Phumtham explained that the meeting also served as an introduction for the recently appointed Director-General, who had just received royal approval. The Director-General convened the meeting to discuss outstanding tasks and requested updates, indicating a proactive approach to managing departmental responsibilities.
