Bangkok: Paethongtarn Shinawatra, former Prime Minister and leader of the Pheu Thai Party, revealed her busy schedule as the reason for not visiting Thaksin in prison today. Instead, she has scheduled her visit for September 25th.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Paethongtarn made this announcement at the Pheu Thai Party headquarters. Reporters had questioned her absence from the headquarters earlier on September 22nd. She clarified her busy work commitments but confirmed her planned visit to Thaksin on the upcoming Thursday.
In response to inquiries about her involvement in the Sisaket by-election campaign, Ms. Paethongtarn mentioned that there would be a team and working group meeting taking place today. She expressed her intention to carve out time to participate in the campaign efforts in Sisaket.
