Samut Prakan: A tragic accident occurred in the Mueang District of Samut Prakan Province when a 6-wheel truck collided with a parking garage pillar, resulting in the death of the driver. The driver was found crushed between the door and the truck's body after the vehicle had been left in gear, causing it to lurch forward upon starting.
According to Thai News Agency, police officers and a foundation team arrived at the scene to investigate the accident. They discovered tire marks on the ground near the rear wheels, indicating that the truck had moved unexpectedly. The company owner reported that the deceased employee had been with the company for only four days and was scheduled to collect goods early in the morning. It is believed that in the process of starting the truck, the vehicle, left in gear, moved forward and collided with a pillar, leading to the fatal incident.
The body of the driver has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy, as part of the legal proceedings following the accident.
