Nathawi: The Nathawi Provincial Court has approved an arrest warrant for a 24-year-old man accused of shooting and killing his rival at a gas station on Kanchanawanit Road in Sadao District, Songkhla Province.
According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage captured the shooting incident that occurred at 5 am yesterday. The victim, Mr. Nadon, aged 23, arrived at the gas station on his motorcycle to refuel when he encountered a group of three gunmen. A confrontation ensued, leading to one of the men, wearing a white shirt, pulling out a 9mm pistol and firing until the magazine was empty. The assailant then fled the scene in a sedan.
The court has issued the arrest warrant for the suspect, Mr. Anuchit, charging him with three counts: jointly killing another person with intent, jointly possessing a firearm and ammunition without permission, and jointly carrying a firearm in a city, village, or public road without permission.
The incident was reportedly a chance encounter, as neither party had any prior conflict. The confrontation began when the deceased asked if the shooter was the younger brother of his old rival, followed by cursing at his parents, which provoked the shooter to open fire.
