Nong Ki: Rescue workers swiftly responded to a landslide incident involving construction workers building a drainage pipe. The landslide buried Mr. Sakon, a 35-year-old worker, up to his neck, leaving his head visible and allowing him to breathe until help arrived. Another worker, Mr. Boontham, aged 55, was buried up to his thigh. Both workers were successfully rescued in an operation that lasted approximately 30 minutes.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Rewat Datthuayawat, head of the Nong Ki Rescue Association, was informed of the incident by Nong Ki Hospital. He promptly dispatched his team to the scene, where they managed to safely extract the workers. Initial medical assessments indicated that both men sustained scratches and bruises, and they were subsequently taken to the hospital for further evaluation. The cause of the landslide remains under investigation.
