KKP Dime Securities Sees Renewed Investor Interest in Thai Stocks Amid Market Shifts

Bangkok: KKP Dime indicates investors are starting to return to Thai stock trading as uncertainty eases.

According to Thai News Agency, KKP Dime Securities has observed a resurgence of interest in Thai stocks, correlating with the easing of US tax measures and the attainment of all-time highs by US stocks and Bitcoin. This shift in investor sentiment is seen as a positive sign for the Thai market, especially with innovative financial initiatives on the horizon.

Chatrin Laksanabunsong, Chief Product Officer of KKP Dime Securities Co., Ltd. (KKP Dime), part of the Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group (KKP), highlighted the burgeoning interest in Thai stocks. He noted the recent re-entry of Thai Airways International (THAI) into trading as a significant factor, alongside the reduced uncertainty around US tax measures which have bolstered investor confidence. As the global investment landscape evolves, KKP Dime is positioning itself strategically with the launch of Dime, a financial application designed to cater to modern investors' needs.

The Dime app aims to be a comprehensive financial lifestyle platform, offering innovative US stock investment options starting at just 50 baht, along with gold investments from 100 baht. The app also includes Dime Jai travel insurance, Dime Nern global debit cards, and a forthcoming Dime! Club membership program, scheduled to launch officially in the fourth quarter of 2025. With over 2 million downloads to date, the app is particularly popular among Gen Z users, dubbed The Invest Generation, who are keen to explore new investment opportunities. This initiative aligns with the company's mission to provide smooth and secure investment experiences.

Additionally, Mr. Chatrin discussed the Ministry of Finance's Tourist Digi Pay project, which is set to launch in late 2025. This project will enable tourists to exchange cryptocurrencies for Thai baht through a smartphone application, facilitating seamless transactions at merchants across Thailand. This initiative is anticipated to enhance capital flow and reduce spending restrictions, further benefiting the Thai economy. A healthy economic environment is expected to encourage increased savings and investment activities among the populace.
