Tak: Security forces in Tak Province have successfully intercepted computer and internet equipment intended for illegal export across the border to Myanmar, in a strategic move to disrupt the operations of a call center gang. This collaborative effort involved Mae Ramat Police Station, military officers, and Mae Sot Customs.
According to Thai News Agency, the operation culminated in the arrest of Mr. Anusak, a 54-year-old resident of Mae Pa Subdistrict, Mae Sot District. He faces charges related to the attempted import or export of goods that had not undergone customs clearance. The seized items included 18 large routers, 8 small routers, 50 small CCTV cameras, 26 large CCTV cameras, 1 server, 4 boxes of 305 meters of internet cables, 20 signal converters, cash, and a vehicle. The equipment was confiscated in a goods transport area along the Moei River, at Pier 19, Tha Khok Wua Wang Pha, Mae Charo Subdistrict, Mae Ramat District, on the Thai-Myanmar border. Subsequently, Mr. Anusak and the confiscated equipment were handed over to investigators at Mae Ramat Police Station for further legal proceedings.
