Bangkok: Meteorology reveals that there will be more rain throughout Thailand, with heavy rain in some areas. The Meteorological Department has announced that Thailand will experience increased rainfall, with some areas, particularly in the eastern region and the western coast of the southern region, facing heavy to very heavy rain.
According to Thai News Agency, residents in these areas are advised to exercise caution due to the potential dangers of heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods and forest runoff, especially in hillside regions near waterways and low-lying areas. Farmers are urged to prepare for possible damage to crops as the monsoon trough traverses the upper northeastern region, Laos, and Vietnam, reaching the low-pressure cell in the central South China Sea. The southwest monsoon, which is strengthening, is affecting the Andaman Sea, lower central region, southern region, eastern region, and the Gulf of Thailand.
The Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are experiencing strong waves, with the Andaman Sea witnessing waves 2-3 meters high, increasing to over 3 meters in stormy areas. The Gulf of Thailand is seeing waves between 1-2 meters, exceeding 2 meters during thunderstorms. Sailors are advised to navigate with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms, while small boats in the Andaman Sea should remain ashore.
