Gambling Ring Busted in Ratchaburi Cassava Plantation

Ratchaburi: Local government officials in Chom Bueng District, Ratchaburi Province, raided a gambling ring operating within a cassava plantation, leading to the arrest of 11 gamblers and the seizure of a significant amount of gambling equipment.

According to Thai News Agency, the administrative officers in Chom Bueng District took action after receiving reports from locals about illegal gambling activities involving games of dummy and somsip in Pak Chong Subdistrict. Upon the officers' arrival, the gamblers, who were engaged in card games, attempted to flee into the surrounding sugarcane and cassava fields. Despite their efforts to escape, the officers managed to apprehend 11 individuals and confiscated a large quantity of gambling devices.

The arrested individuals and the seized equipment were subsequently handed over to the administrative officers of Chom Bueng District. The authorities are continuing with the legal proceedings following the successful raid.
