Mahasarakham City: The force raided an illegal pub in the middle of Mahasarakham City after locals complained that it was open past closing time and that customers were using drugs.
According to Thai News Agency, officers inspected a restaurant on Theenanon Road, Talat Subdistrict, Mueang Maha Sarakham District after local residents complained about a shophouse being converted into a pub. They found approximately 100 customers using the service. No one under the age of 20 was found, but one person tested positive for drugs.
Mr. Kaew Sai, 26 years old, is the owner of the shop, providing food, alcoholic beverages, playing live music, and opening songs. The officers therefore collected evidence and took the shop owner to the investigation officer at Maha Sarakham City Police Station to prosecute him on charges of selling alcoholic beverages outside of the time specified by law and setting up a service place without permission.
