Heavy Rain Causes Traffic Chaos in Samut Prakan as Flooding Halts Vehicles

Samut Prakan: Heavy rain hits Samut Prakan this morning. Phraeksa Road is flooded, many cars are broken down, causing heavy traffic congestion.

According to Thai News Agency, in Samut Prakan Province, this morning, heavy rain fell for almost 1 hour, causing flooding on many roads in Mueang Samut Prakan District. Some areas were as high as half a car, such as Phraeksa Road from in front of Phraeksa Temple to Rasami Anan Market. The water was as high as the sidewalk. Many motorcycles and cars were stopped, causing heavy traffic on Phraeksa Road. Meanwhile, on Srinakarin Road from the Kajana Expressway exit towards the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand intersection, there was flooding approximately 20 cm deep in the left lane. Local municipal officials had to mobilize water pumps to quickly drain water from the road surface. If the rain does not fall again, it is expected that the situation will return to normal this afternoon.
