Bangkok: DSI sends case documents, orders indictment of 5 suspects in China Railway Company nominee case to prosecutors this afternoon. Pol. Lt. Col. Suravut Rangsai, deputy director-general of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), said after a meeting of the investigation team for the case of the offense under the Alien Business Act B.E. 2542 or the nominee case of China Railway Number 10 (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in the case of the State Audit Office building collapse that today (May 26), the DSI has concluded the case file and ordered the indictment of the special case prosecutor. There are a total of 5 suspects, 3 Thai nominees, Mr. Chuanling Zhang and Mr. Binling Wu, who are still at large and intelligence has found that they are still in Thailand. It is believed that they will be arrested soon. The investigation team is tracking and intelligence is urgently tracking them down. There has been no coordination to surrender yet. The investigation also found that the Thai nominees are involved and hold p ositions in 17 other companies. The DSI will separate the case file into another case for further investigation. If the prosecutor wants to investigate further on any issues, they can do so.
According to Thai News Agency, in the case of allegations that the Office of the Auditor General is involved in the case, causing damages that fall under the offense under the 2018 Anti-Corruption Act, the DSI must forward the case to the NACC for further action. If the NACC considers that the DSI should continue or set up a subcommittee for further investigation, the DSI is ready.
For the case to be sent to the prosecutor today, there are 46 boxes, 17,000 pages, with an appointment for the special prosecutor at 1:00 p.m.
