Cabinet Postpones Gambling Act Consideration for Comprehensive Feedback

Bangkok: The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior has clarified that the Cabinet's decision to postpone the consideration of the Gambling Act is due to the need for complete feedback from all relevant departments, and not due to any disagreement.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Traisuree Traisaranakul, who serves as the Secretary to the Minister of Interior and the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, stated that the draft Gambling Act (Amendment) was scheduled for submission to the Cabinet for review. However, the process of gathering opinions from various agencies is still underway, and some departments have yet to provide their input. As a result, the Office of the Secretariat to the Cabinet (SLC) has decided to defer the matter until the following week. Ms. Traisuree also addressed circulating rumors, refuting claims that the delay was due to a failure to reach an agreement.
