Nonthaburi: Another member of the gang responsible for stealing 3.4 million baht from a shopping mall in Lat Phrao has turned himself in to authorities. The suspect claims that his role was limited to driving his accomplices to the crime scene and did not involve fleeing with the main perpetrator, known as 'Suea Pun.' Police are now intensively searching for the three remaining suspects.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ananchai, also known as "Ice," surrendered at Bang Sri Muang Police Station in Nonthaburi Province. Following his surrender, officers inspected the vehicle allegedly used during the robbery. Upon examination, it was discovered that the vehicle's license plates had been removed. The car was confiscated for further examination, and Mr. Ice guided officers to the location in the Khlong Phra Udom forest in Pathum Thani Province, where he claimed to have disposed of the license plates. The plates were found discarded in the weeds beside the road.
Mr. Ice admitted to receiving a payment of only 1,000 baht for driving a woman named Nana and a transgender friend to the shopping mall in Lat Phrao. He insists that he was unaware of their intentions. After dropping them off, they parted ways, and he did not flee with Suea Pun. The car, registered under his girlfriend's name, was used without her knowledge or involvement. Meanwhile, police efforts are underway to apprehend the other three suspects who remain at large.
