16-Year-Old Boy Shot Multiple Times in Rival Attack in Phatthalung

Phatthalung: A 16-year-old boy, identified as Mr. Euro, was shot at more than ten times by his rivals while he was driving a sedan with a group of friends in Mueang District, Phatthalung Province. The incident took place at 2:00 AM on a parallel road where the sedan was found parked with visible shotgun damage, including seven marks on the driver's side windshield and nine on the driver's side rear door, along with a burst front left tire.

According to Thai News Agency, officers discovered a shotgun shell casing and three shotgun shell cushions, size 12, at the scene, located in the median strip between the parallel roads. Mr. Euro sustained gunshot injuries to his left cheekbone, with the bullets remaining inside. Despite the injuries, Mr. Euro was able to provide an initial statement to the police. He recounted that he had left his home, a furniture store, along with four friends, heading towards Phatthalung city when a pickup truck drove alongside and its occupants opened fire on his vehicle multiple times. Fortunately, his friends were unharmed and managed to take him to the hospital.

Mr. Euro suggested that the attack might have been carried out by the same group involved in a shooting incident the previous night, which also targeted a group of 16-year-olds in Phatthalung. He was part of the group attacked on that occasion. Authorities plan to question the youths present at the scene for further investigation.

In a related incident, Mr. Euro's group had previously been targeted by rival groups using shotguns and 11 mm guns at their furniture store, which served as their gathering place, on November 20, 67.
