Young Man’s Jealous Rage Leads to Violent Confrontation in Samut Prakan

Samut Prakan: A young man armed with a knife broke into a room and took a woman who was sleeping with her husband, initiating a violent confrontation that left the husband with a severe facial injury.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident unfolded at 1 am when Bangpoo police received a report of a man being slashed in the face in front of a barbecue restaurant on Bang Phli-Tamru Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Mr. Phuwanon, 29, the husband of Ms. Wilacha, 44, awaiting assistance with a deep knife wound near his neck. Rescue workers promptly administered first aid to halt the bleeding before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

Mr. Kittipong, 28, identified as the assailant, was apprehended by officers as he attempted to flee the scene. Clearly intoxicated, he struggled to walk and spoke incoherently, expressing remorse for the incident. He claimed that he did not intend to harm anyone and that he loved Ms. Wilacha deeply. Despite his criminal history, including previous convictions for attempted murder and drug offenses, he insisted that he had never considered harming her.

Mr. Phuwanon recounted the incident, stating that he was asleep with his wife when Mr. Kittipong, a colleague, burst into their room and attacked them. He expressed confusion over Mr. Kittipong's motives and was unaware of his jealousy towards Ms. Wilacha.

Ms. Wilacha revealed that she had been secretly dating Mr. Kittipong for two months while living with her husband of two years. She explained that Mr. Kittipong became upset when she expressed a desire to return to her husband, leading to the violent encounter. Despite the turmoil, she confessed her love for both men, particularly Mr. Kittipong, who she claimed never harmed her.

Authorities are currently questioning Mr. Kittipong and witnesses present at the scene to determine the appropriate charges in this complex case.
