Udon Thani: A heart-wrenching incident has occurred as Mr. Kritsadang Poonjekmadan, a 39-year-old resident of Lantae, Prachaksilpakom District in Udon Thani Province, tragically passed away during a social gathering in Israel. While conversing with friends about his daughter, he suddenly collapsed and died at the table, leaving his wife and family in shock.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Kritsadang had been working abroad since 2010, initially traveling to Israel through a recruitment company. He also worked in Taiwan before returning to Israel in January 2025 upon his former employer's request. Despite the long hours and demanding work, Mr. Kritsadang chose to work overseas to secure a better financial future for his family.
Social security records show that Mr. Kritsadang ceased to be insured under Section 33 in 2008, with accumulated retirement benefits of 7,738.20 baht. The Department of Employment noted that he did not report his travel abroad for work. His wife, Ms. Sirinya, recounted that they had been together for 16 years, and her husband's overseas employment was a means to support their family. She learned from his coworkers that he fainted while socializing after work and could not be revived despite CPR efforts.
The family is now in the process of repatriating Mr. Kritsadang's body to Udon Thani for religious rites. Ms. Sirinya mentioned that some benefits would be received from social security, but due to the lack of notification to the Department of Employment, some entitlements would not be accessible. She urged Thais working abroad to prioritize their health and avoid overexertion.
