Bangkok: "Warawut" stated that all ministers are ready to help the Prime Minister explain the debate. He is confident that the Pheu Thai-Bhumjaithai Party problems will not affect the vote. He declared that the Chartthaipattana Party has 10 votes of confidence in "Prime Minister Yingluck". He pointed out that based on his experience, it would not go as far as dissolving the House of Representatives.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security and leader of the Chartthaipattana Party, discussed the opposition's no-confidence motion against Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra. He emphasized that the Prime Minister is not alone in handling the debate, as she has the support of 35 cabinet members. He expressed confidence that each minister would willingly provide answers related to their duties, highlighting the collective effort over the past 6-7 months under Ms. Paethongtarn's leadership.
Addressing concerns about potential impacts from Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai party issues, Mr. Varawut assured that coalition parties had discussed the matter. He referenced Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, who assured during a dinner meeting that his party would fully support the Prime Minister and vote for every minister debated. The Chartthaipattana Party, with its 10 votes, also pledged unwavering support for the Prime Minister, citing their shared dedication to the country's progress over recent months.
When questioned about the possibility of parliament dissolution following intense debate, Mr. Varawut drew on historical instances, including his father Mr. Banharn Silpa-archa's tenure as prime minister, to suggest that strong support from coalition parties would help navigate through the challenges, avoiding drastic measures like dissolving the House of Representatives.
