Shenzhen: The Thailand national under-20 team is ready to face South Korea, the 12-time champion, in the Asian Football Championship this evening, aiming to share points.
According to Thai News Agency, the AFC U-20 Championship 2025, Group Stage, Group D, Match 2, will see the Thai national team under the supervision of Brazilian head coach Emerson, who previously faced a 0-3 defeat against Japan in their first game. They are now preparing for the second match against the "White Ginseng" South Korea, who emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over the Syrian national team in their first game. The "War Elephants U-20" held their final training session yesterday at the Shenzhen Youth Football Training Field 3, which focused on physical recovery and addressing mistakes from their previous match against Japan.
Ahead of the training session, Yotsakorn Burapa, a striker from PT Prachuap FC, expressed that the team had gained insights from their first game, particularly regarding strength and game understanding. He aims to rectify his errors to be well-prepared for the match against South Korea, setting a personal goal to score and help the team secure at least a draw.
For this match, it is anticipated that the Thai national team will make some player adjustments compared to their first game. However, the team will continue to be led by key players such as Phikanes Laowiwat, Singha Marasa, the team captain, Yotsakorn Burapa, Thanakrit Chotmuangpak, and Phongsakorn Sangkhasopha.
