Khon Kaen: "Pro Peng" Thanapat Pichaikul successfully defended his championship title by securing a birdie victory over Netiphong Srithong in the third playoff round of the "Singha Thailand Masters 25th" at Singha Park Khon Kaen Golf Club. According to Thai News Agency, the playoff took place on the 18th hole, a 579-yard par 5, where both Netiphong and Thanapat initially made birdies followed by pars, before Thanapat sealed his win with another birdie on the third attempt. Both players concluded the standard 72 holes with a combined score of 8 under par, with Netiphong scoring 1 under and Thanapat ending with an even par in the final round. Thanapat, who previously won the 24th Singha Thailand Masters at Santiburi Country Club in Chiang Rai, joins the ranks of Prayad Marksaeng and Thammanun Sriroj as the third golfer to defend his title at this tournament. Expressing his joy, Thanapat stated, "I'm glad to defend my title. Every time I play in this tournament, I feel like I have the energy to do my best. I w ould like to thank all the fans who have followed and cheered me on. On good days or bad days, I still have the encouragement." For his victory, Thanapat earned 750,000 baht in prize money, while Netiphong received 475,000 baht. Ranchanapong Yooprayong finished in third place with a total score of 6 under, after shooting 1 over in the final round. Kyaw Htet Oo, Pro Myanmar, Saris Suwannarat, and Itthipat Buranathanyarat shared fourth place, each with a total score of 5 under. The upcoming event, the 'Singha All Thailand Memorial 2025', is scheduled to take place at Chatrium Golf Resort Soi Dao, Chanthaburi, from April 3-6, 2025, with a total prize pool of 3 million baht.
