Bangkok: Police have taken the board of directors of W. Company and their friends to the Criminal Court for detention and have objected to bail. As for the company's juristic person, the police have temporarily released them.
According to Thai News Agency, this afternoon, investigators from Bang Sue Police Station transported Mr. Phonladet, a director of W. and Friends Consultants Co., Ltd., in a police van to be detained at the Criminal Court on Ratchadaphisek Road. At the conclusion of their petition, the investigators objected to bail due to the severity of the case, which carries a high penalty and involves multiple deaths.
As Phonladet was escorted from the interrogation room on the first floor of the police station, officers led him to the second floor before taking him to the other side of the station and eventually into the Bang Sue Police Station van. Reporters attempted to question Phonladet regarding his concerns about applying for bail and whether he denied the charges. However, Phonladet remained silent and appeared worried before entering the van.
In the company of his lawyer, Mr. Phrut Mahawan, reporters inquired about Mr. Phonladet's stance on the charges. Before entering the van, Mr. Mahawan conveyed that Phonladet denied all charges.
Ms. Praneet, representing W. and Friends Consultants Co., Ltd. as a juristic person, met with investigators to acknowledge the charges. The police temporarily released her due to her appearance in this capacity.
Pol. Col. Sanong Saengmani, Superintendent of Bang Sue Metropolitan Police Station, stated that after acknowledging the charges, both suspects denied them and expressed their intention to provide statements in court, which is within their rights.
