Volunteers Deliver Essential Supplies to Soldiers Amid Thai-Cambodian Tensions

Khon buri: Volunteers from Khon Buri have mobilized to support soldiers stationed along the Thai-Cambodian border by transporting 10 ten-wheel trucks loaded with essential supplies to Surin Province amidst ongoing regional tensions.

According to Thai News Agency, the initiative was spearheaded by a volunteer group from Khong Buri district, led by the headman of Charakhe Hin sub-district, in collaboration with the 904 Royal Volunteers and the private sector. The convoy carried old tires, collected by the local community and various sectors, intended to be used by the soldiers to construct bunkers. Alongside these, the trucks were filled with consumer goods, rice, dried food, sacks, and generators. Despite encountering light rain during their journey, the volunteers persevered, ensuring the delivery of these critical supplies to soldiers positioned in Phanom Dong Rak and Kap Choeng districts in Surin Province.

Additionally, the volunteers established a kitchen to prepare meals for the troops. They prepared a variety of dishes, including over 200 kilograms of sun-dried fish, contributed by local villagers, to be distributed to soldiers and officers at the 2nd Special Task Force of the Suranaree Force in Prasat District. This act of solidarity aims to bolster the morale of soldiers dedicated to safeguarding the nation's sovereignty.
