Huai yot: The village headman of Nawong Subdistrict, Mr. Bandit, was tragically killed when an assailant armed with an M16 rifle opened fire on him in his pickup truck in front of his residence. The shocking incident occurred late last night, leaving the local community in shock and mourning.
According to Thai News Agency, police from the Huai Yot Police Station, along with a forensic team and the Sri Trang Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit, conducted an inspection of the crime scene. They found evidence of 15 rounds discharged from an M16 rifle, with several bullets having struck vital organs in Mr. Bandit's head and right side of the torso. The attack suggests a personal conflict of a life-threatening nature, though other possible motives are being considered.
Authorities have not dismissed the possibility of the shooting being related to disputes over palm oil plantations in the Wang Wiset area or potential links to the assassination of a figure known as "Lawyer Wao." Investigations are actively ongoing, with evidence being meticulously gathered to facilitate the issuance of arrest warrants for those potentially involved in this brutal act.
