Lopburi: A van carrying employees crashed into the back of a 10-wheel truck on Highway 21, Saraburi-Lomsak, at kilometer 36/900, Village No. 8, Khok Salung Subdistrict, Lopburi Province. The driver of the van, identified as Mr. Anupong, died instantly in the collision, and seven employees were injured.
According to Thai News Agency, rescue workers used cutting and prying equipment to remove Mr. Anupong's body, which was found with his head protruding from the windshield and his body trapped in the wreckage at the front of the vehicle. The seven injured employees, both male and female, were crying for help when rescue workers arrived. They received first aid on the scene before being transported to a hospital, with several reported to be in serious condition.
Upon inspecting the crash site, authorities found no brake marks, leading to the belief that Mr. Anupong may have fallen asleep at the wheel before the van collided with the 10-wheel truck.
