Chumphon: The Transport Company rushed to provide assistance to 8 injured people from a tour bus accident in Chumphon Province and safely transported them to the hospital.
According to Thai News Agency, Transport Company Limited (BKS) reported that a pickup truck overtook on the right, lost control, and crashed into a passenger car, resulting in 8 injuries and no deaths on Highway No. 41 (southbound), Tambon Kron, Amphoe Sawi, Chumphon Province on June 23, 2025, at 2:38 a.m.
From the investigation, it was found to be a public bus on the Bangkok-Donsak-Koh Samui route, vehicle number M.1 (B) / 991-347, registration 12-3509 Bangkok, carrying 29 passengers and 3 bus staff, totaling 32 people. The bus left the passenger transport station (Chatuchak) or Mochit 2 at 6:15 p.m. and from the investigation of the bus that had the accident, the speed using the GPS system before the bus had the accident was 61 kilometers/hour. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the police.
The company expressed its condolences for the incident. The staff of the Lang Suan Bus Station went to the area to coordinate with relevant agencies to facilitate and assist the injured to send them to Sawi Hospital. At present, 6 injured people have been discharged from the hospital and 2 are receiving treatment.
For the passengers who were not injured, the Laem Sawan bus station has arranged for buses to take them to their destinations. In addition, the local police and insurance representatives have coordinated to provide assistance, facilitate, and provide compensation to the injured.
However, the company has urged drivers to take into account passenger safety measures and emphasized the use of caution while driving and following traffic laws to prevent and reduce road accidents.
