Unidentified Body Found in Reservoir Raises Concerns in Nakhon Sawan

Nakhon Sawan: An unidentified body was discovered concealed in a tank within the Huai Yai Takhro Reservoir, located in the Takhro Subdistrict, Phaisali District, Nakhon Sawan Province. The discovery was made by local villagers who were setting up fishing nets when they encountered a blue bucket floating in the middle of the reservoir. Upon closer inspection, they were shocked to find a body with a tattoo on its back. According to Thai News Agency, the reservoir is a popular spot for villagers to relax and enjoy the scenery. An uncle and his nephew initially planned to use the bucket for trash collection. However, as they approached, they noticed the bucket moving with the wind and decided to pull it in. To their horror, they discovered human legs and skin, prompting them to flee and immediately alert the police. The examination of the body revealed several details: a tattoo on the back, a mobile phone, and a weighted stone. The face of the deceased was deformed, suggesting it had been struck by a hard objec t, and there was a bullet wound on the left chest. The identity of the individual remains unknown. Efforts to identify the deceased have been unsuccessful, as inquiries with villagers and community leaders yielded no information, and there have been no missing person reports in the vicinity. Given the reservoir's location at the intersection of Nakhon Sawan, Phetchabun, and Lopburi provinces, authorities suspect the body might have been transported from a neighboring area to obscure its presence. In response, the Provincial Police Region 6, in collaboration with the Nakhon Sawan Provincial Police and Takhro Police Station, has launched an investigation. They are working to gather information and expand the investigation to apprehend those responsible. Furthermore, the body has been sent for a detailed autopsy to determine the cause of death and establish the deceased's identity.
