In Chaiyaphum Province, a tragic incident occurred when a 14-year-old male student was riding his motorcycle across the Huai Sai spillway, which connects Ban Mai Na Di Village, Village No. 5, Ban Kham Subdistrict, Chatturat District, Chaiyaphum Province, with Ban Nong I Lo Village, Ban Tan Subdistrict, Bamnet Narong District, Chaiyaphum Province. He was swept away by a strong flash flood into the stream below the spillway and drowned. Rescue workers and divers searched for hours before finding the motorcycle and the body in a canal more than 2 kilometers from the scene. The student, identified as 14-year-old Wannasingh, was rescued and recovered from the water.
